The College of Law Practice Management and Suffolk University Law School invite you to the 2018 Futures Conference. In a highly interactive series of presentations and breakout sessions, we invite you into the white-hot, rapidly evolving world of cybersecurity.

Creating a culture of cybersecurity has been a challenge – successfully defending our clients’ data has proven conclusively that cybersecurity is a team sport. There are roles for firm leaders as well as HR, Marketing, Finance, IT – everyone has a stake in cybersecurity and a role to play.

We are fighting an extraordinary war against data breaches. The sad truth is that an advanced hacker with advanced tools and sufficient funding will get into your network. The security mantra today has changed to IDENTIFY, PROTECT, DETECT, RESPOND AND RECOVER.

Artificial intelligence is now being deployed in the cybersecurity world because humans cannot react fast enough and because the machines can absorb and make sense of huge amounts of data, far beyond a human’s capacity. This year's law school partner is Suffolk University Law School. The walking time between the law school and the host hotel is approximately 10 minutes (0.4 mi.) and the terrain is mostly flat. Early bird discounts no longer apply.    

Parking near Suffolk University Law School is a challenge. Suffolk's website has information on nearby lots in the downtown area. Spot Hero also has several nearby hourly parking facilities. The host hotel, and venue for the black-tie Induction Dinner and Ceremony, is The Langham—Boston. The Langham is located less than three miles from Logan International Airport (BOS) and it’s three blocks from the waterfront. To secure our special conference rate of $360 per night, reserve your room before September 28.

The Langham—Boston offers only overnight valet parking that ranges between $46 and $49 per night. For alternate options, contact the hotel concierge.
